For many years there was debate as to whether our sport of Muaythai would one day receive Olympic recognition. Often ridiculed and dubbed storytellers, some Muaythai officials went undeterred on the path to Olympic recognition for their favorite sport. no easy way  But this arduous and long journey was worth it.
In the 138th session of the International Olympic Committee, received the  International Federation of Muaythai Associations - IFMA - full Olympic recognition by the International Olympic Committee - IOC. See Attachment.

For those responsible for the Muaythai Bund Deutschland eV, as official representatives of the IFMA, this day is a historic day. This recognition by the IOC also has great advantages for Muaythai in Germany, because doors are now opening that were previously closed.
