The charity campaign "Sport Is Your Gang" was launched in cooperation with the international organization Sport Is Your Gang.

"Peace and Sport" aims to promote peace in poor and disadvantaged areas and instill positive values through local projects in the field of sport and is under the patronage of Prince Albert of Monaco.

"Sport Is Your Gang" gets children and young people off the streets and into the sports club.
In addition to the fun of exercise, sport should above all teach respectful interaction with one another and promote discipline, reliability and self-confidence and, ideally, show new perspectives. Children and young people in particular need support and need hope and the opportunity for further development in order to find their place in society. This campaign is primarily aimed at socially disadvantaged children and young people whose parents cannot contribute to a sports club and are therefore dependent on state support.

In addition, the IFMA and the WMC founded the campaign "Muaythai Against Drugs - Find the Right Path". She also campaigns for children and young people from poorer families and also draws attention to the dangers of drugs.

“Muaythai has given so much to many of us. Now it's time to give something back" - a clear statement from the President of the Muaythai Bund Germany eV, Detlef Türnau. We would like to convey values and perspectives to children and young people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds with Muaythai (colloquially Thai boxing).

The "Muaythai Against Drugs" project was launched in 1999 by the Muaythai world associations International Federation of Muaythai Amateurs (IFMA) and World Muaythai Council (WMC). The personal advisor of the Thai king could be won as a patron: His Excellency General Pichitr Kullavanijaya. Since then, Muaythai training sessions with young people have been taking place every Sunday in public places in the Bangkok city area. The participating young people get fit and develop self-confidence, experience community and are informed about the dangers of drugs.

Patron of MTAD: HE General Pichitr Kullavanijaya (right), Personal Advisor to the King of Thailand. MTAD (Muaythai Against Drugs) uses Muaythai to show children and young people from a socially disadvantaged environment perspectives for the future. This includes e.g. B. also to motivate young people to complete an apprenticeship.

In many member countries of the Muaythai world associations, the Muaythai Against Drugs projects are running with great success. Especially in Thailand, South Africa and Sweden, where these projects are also supported by the authorities and Hollywood greats like actor Steven Seagal identify with Muaythai Against Drugs and support the project.

Muaythai connects: The training conveys important values, especially to children and young people, creates a sense of community and brings structure to life.

The Muaythai Bund Deutschland eV will also start the Muaythai Against Drugs project in Germany. This is to be done in collaboration with

  • schools
  • police
  • social workers
  • youth welfare offices
  • health insurance companies
  • savings banks and banks
  • other supporters and sponsors

happen.

Concepts are developed that are tailored to the needs of young people. The Muaythai Bund Germany provides experienced and licensed trainers who work together with the above supporters.
