FIBO stands as the world’s largest and most influential fitness and wellness gathering, where the global industry comes together under one roof.
This year, once again, there will be over 150,000 visitors and more than 12,000 exhibitors and partners across 13 exhibition halls. Muaythai, represented by MTBD and IFMA—the sole IOC-recognised organisation—will be present for the fourth consecutive year, showcasing the art of muaythai as both a sport and a cultural heritage from the Kingdom of Thailand to the heart of Germany.
There will be exhibitions highlighting the cultural roots of muaythai, including Wai Khru and Mae Muay, as well as two days of competition. April 18th will feature the next generation in junior events, while April 19th will showcase the senior competitions.
Detlef Turnau, President of MTBD and an IFMA Executive Board member, expressed his pride that muaythai will once again be present. He noted that this reflects the continued growth of muaythai in Germany and worldwide, while also showcasing it as a sport for all, promoting inclusion and non-discrimination.
Charissa Tynan, IFMA Director General, stated that FIBO is important for connecting with partners across industries to promote muaythai for all. In a world where unity and well-being are increasingly important, muaythai stands out.
